HQ MusicFest 2026 Is Canceled

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of HQ MusicFest 2026.

Over the past several days, we’ve closely monitored the wildfire smoke, regional fire activity, and travel conditions throughout Eastern Oregon. After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s festival out of an abundance of caution.

This isn’t the outcome any of us wanted.

Our artists were ready. Our volunteers were preparing passes and signage. Vendors were packing up. Our team was just days away from transforming HQ and Depot Street into a weekend of music, creativity, and community.

But we don’t believe it’s right to ask artists to perform, volunteers to work, or attendees to spend hours outdoors while air quality remains unhealthy. With active wildfires affecting our region and highway closures impacting travel, we believe this is the most responsible decision for everyone involved.

To every musician, volunteer, vendor, sponsor, and festival pass holder: thank you. Your excitement, encouragement, and support have meant a ton and do not go unnoticed. We know many of you rearranged schedules, made travel plans, and looked forward to gathering together this weekend. We’re just as disappointed as you are.

Passholders will see a refund issued if ordered online by the end of the week and will receive email confirmation. If your ticket was purchased in person, we’ll reach out to you with refund information. 

HQ has always been about more than a single weekend. It’s about building a creative home in Eastern Oregon – a place where musicians, artists, neighbors, and visitors come together to create and share meaningful things. While nature has changed our plans this time, it hasn’t changed our purpose.

Please stay safe, take care of one another, and support those in our region who are being directly impacted by these fires.
